Have you at anytime witnessed a relative of yours or a close friend searching frantically for a blood donor? When blood banks say out of stock, the donors in mind are out of reach and the time keeps ticking. Have you witnessed loss of life for the only reason that a donor was not available at the most needed hour?
Is it something that we as a society can do nothing to prevent? This thought laid our foundation.
"Meradosth welfare society" is an organization to help people in different ways. Though professionally I am not a Doctor, I can still save lives of the people by donating blood and also organizing blood donation through different blood donors across the country. From the available statistics it is said that in India every year we need 4 crore Units of Blood but the available suppy of blood is just 10% of the demand i.e. only about 40 lakh units of blood is available. To fill this vast gap of demand and supply, MDWS has taken the responsibility to fulfill atleast another 10% of the demand. We are sure, this initiative can save the lifes of lakhs of people every year.
I am not doctor but I can save lives is a concept of organizing blood donation to the needy from those people who are willing to donate blood. It brings voluntary blood donors and those in need of blood on to a common platform.
Through this website, we seek donors who are willing to donate blood, as well as provide the timely support to those in frantic need of it.
Started in the year 2012, on 2nd October, in a small room with just 1500 voluntary donors but with the zeal to serve our society, to inspire and spread the word, we dream to fulfil 100% blood need in India.
Our mission is to fulfil every blood request in the country with a promising web portal and motivated individuals who are willing to donate blood.
Our vision is to be “The hope of every Indian is willing to people of a voluntary blood donor”
Our motto - “Life is very Precious. Donate blood to save needy people”
